Memento mori

Its a picture about Vanitas and the transience of the human existance.
At the left side is a young, pretty woman. She is the beginning of the life and symbol of youthfulness. Her complement is the corpse of the young woman on the right side, she symbolize the death and the end.
About all is the skull, for the death. Its all over all, because the death is also over all other aspects of life. On the left handside are flowers as the good times in life, for example the bouquet at the marriage, or a flowering meadow. And on the right as a grave decoration, under the tombstone and the wooden cross.
The headline and the theme is on the banner, „Memento Mori“ - Think of your gonna die.
In the middle is a hour glass to bring the life time home to the women. Over the hourglass is feather (for the lightness of beeing) and a tooth (the tooth of time)
